This Wednesday is the monthly Membership ZOOM meeting at 6:30PM. We will be discussing the Postmaster General's upcoming visit, the APWU's meeting with the PMG and the Rally on Friday. We hope you will join and bring your work experience, customer concerns to the meeting to add strength to our position.
Friday- the IPWU is hosting a Rally to give voice to customer concerns and problems in Iowa as a result of the ongoing changes being implemented as part of the Delivering For America Plan. It is Friday from 11:30-12:30 at the Des Moines Main Post Office, 1164 2nd Ave. Postmaster General Dejoy will be visiting Iowa on Thursday and Friday this week giving us the opportunity to highlight issues specifically affecting rural communities in this country. We are collecting customer testimony on a dedicated Facebook Page- Voices of Postal Customers.
In addition we are collecting data to present to the PMG, Postal Regulators, and Legislators to demonstrate the issues being faced by customers in less populated areas of the country, like rural Iowa.
