Automation changes

Management is implementing the Regional Transportation Optimization (RTO) initiative. Per the USPS, this initiative consolidates mail and package transportation activities, reducing local transportation costs and truck trips while improving the efficiency of the mail processing network. 

As a result, management is changing clerk automation duty assignments.

Automation clerks will receive a letter concerning the impact on their duty assignment and will be notified if they are being excessed from the needs of the section.

There will be an expedited closed bid process. Management states that the changes will be implemented effective May 17, 2025.
