I was informed that the advanced leave provision for PTFs and PSEs (see MOUs on page 340 of the 2021-2024 CBA) was implemented on September 24, 2022. PSEs and PTFs should see advanced leave on their pay check dated October 15, 2022.

PTFs will have the advanced leave prorated for the remainder of the 2022 Leave Year which ends on January 13, 2023. They will then receive the full 40 hour advance at the beginning of the 2023 leave year.

PSEs advanced leave is a bit different. Their leave is advance based on their PSE appointment period—not the leave year. PSEs will have their leave prorated based on the remainder of their current 360-day appointment and will see the full 40 hour advance at the start of their next 360-day appointment.

We are getting closer to having all the programming changes needed for the ground-breaking 2021-2024 CBA completed. As each change is finalized, I will update the field.
