APWU President Dimondstein in Iowa Saturday 5/4/24
Everyone,
President Dimondstein will be attending the MAL Caucus scheduled this Saturday at 6:30PM at the APWU Union Hall, 1200 E Euclid Ave, Des Moines. This is a unique opportunity for Iowa members in small offices to meet the APWU National President and discuss your concerns and hopes for the upcoming Contract Negotiations. The meeting is casual and everyone will be provided ample opportunity to bring up issues or concerns. The IPWU Executive Board members in attendance will assist the caucus in creating resolutions from your ideas to put forward at the Iowa State Convention the following day.
In addition, MAL Delegates will be elected from the MAL members present at the caucus. This is your chance to participate in the business of the IPWU, determine your leadership through elections, and shape the future of the APWU by perfecting resolutions to be submitted for consideration at the National Convention. The National Convention is the highest ruling body, and will determine the priority of issues affecting your conditions of employment.
Other members in the area are welcome as guests of the caucus. You may have the opportunity to join the conversation, but priority will be afforded to the MAL Members in attendance.
