VOLUNTARY EARLY OUT
National APWU held a zoom meeting on VER and this is what came out of it.
The incentive checks will be sent to our union members last place of employment at the post office. If the member wants the check mailed to them, then give your supervisor Form 3077 with your name and address. The post office will no longer have access to this information, since you retired and your paperwork was sent to OPM. It might also be a good idea to tell your coworkers to telephone you when they come in and they probably will be in the Red Room.
National APWU also said if you have not mailed in your retirement papers by March 1st, start using express mail to send them in. They can track that better in case we have a need to file a grievance for members who claimed to have mailed theirs in by March 7th.
APWU will know by March 8th or 9th, of what crafts that have percentages of who is eligible. If you are not eligible, you must file paperwork to revoke your retirement paperwork. If you have enough years and want to go without that incentive in your craft, you have the right to retire if you want?
HOPE THIS HELPS! RETIREMENT IS A PERSONAL DECISION!
