The new Contract includes language that allows PTF to opt out of working in offices other than where they are assigned permanently, and for the first time allows the PTF to choose which offices they are willing to lend their services to within a 50 mile radius. The list of offices for which they wish to be scheduled in addition to their permanent duty station must be provided in writing prior to August 9, 2025. All PTF's making a selection should date stamp and keep a copy of their written notification to management and submit their requests no later than August 9, 2025.
Re: Assignment of PTF Hub Clerks
This provision covers part-time flexible (PTF) Clerk Craft employees who may be required to work in installations other than their home office (installation).
PTFs shall be scheduled for work outside their home office (installation) in accordance with the following:
1. within thirty (30) days of the effective date of the 2024 National Agreement, PTFs shall notify their postmaster in writing their preference to not work in offices in other installations or indicate the offices where they will volunteer to work within a 50-mile radius of their home office (may indicate all). PTFs unavailable for the entire thirty (30) day period due to leave shall provide their written preference within thirty (30) days of returning to work;
The effective date of the contract was July 11, 2025.
ALL PTF EMPLOYEES ARE ADVISED TO SUBMIT SOMETHING IN WRITING PRIOR TO AUGUST 9, 2025 EVEN IF IT IS TO DECLINE WORK OUTSIDE OF THEIR DUTY STATION.
